Buenos Aires, a magnet for cruise ships

In this last season (started in mid-November 2007), arrived to Buenos Aires 100 ships, consolidated as a destination for cruise companies. In the last season reached the port 185,000 tourists who have spent in the City U$S 110M.  

In 2006-2007 had come to ‘la Reina del Plata’ (Queen of Silver) 56 cruises. For the 2008-2009 season have been already reserved 134 moorings. The arrival of tourists is originate in North America, neighbouring countries or countries from the European continent.  

The most important cruise that arrived at the port of the city was the ‘Infinity', 294m long and which has a capacity of 3600 passengers. For the next season we will see the 'Mariner of the Seas' (311m length), which passes through Buenos Aires, and also visits Patagonia, including the Malvinas Islands.
